Prof G.K. Rath - All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India

Prof G K Rath speaks to ecancer at the Choosing Wisely: Value added cancer care for India event in Delhi about the future of cancer care in India.

He explains that a large focus needs to be on prevention as 60% of cancer cases in India are considered to be preventable.

Prof G K Rath also believes that going forward the focus needs to be on early diagnosis and he points to a population based screening program that is being rolled out.

He adds that there also needs to be a commitment to providing treatment facilities across the country with affordable rates.
