Summary This educational resource explores the main challenges of treating cervical cancer in India.

This module explores diagnostic tools and and treatments available to women in India in the early and advanced stages of their cancer. 

This e-learning course has been developed in collaboration with Indian experts specialising in gynaecological cancers and supported by the National Cancer Grid, India.

Target Audience

This module is for health teams in India providing cervical cancer screening and treatment facilities.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this module you should be able to:

  • Describe the diagnostic tests available for detecting pre-cancer and cancer of the cervix
  • Describe the treatment options available
  • Understand the FIGO cancer staging system for cervical cancer
  • Describe the treatment options for advanced cervical cancer
  • Define the ‘screen and treat’ approach
