Dr Herbert Kim Lyerly - Duke University, North Carolina, USA

Dr Herbert Kim Lyerly of Duke University School of Medicine talks to ecancer about the importance of early diagnosis in breast cancer. Despite a large breast cancer screening infrastructure within the US, the breast cancer survival rate is still lower than one would expect. Dr Lyerly’s work is aimed at ensuring that all high risk people are being effectively screened and also the possibility of detecting breast cancer before it grows into a lump.
